Editorial workflow

Treat the Posts data source as your editorial dashboard. Metadata controls how content appears; the page body contains the article itself.

Recommended lifecycle

1. Create a row with status=Draft.
2. Write the article body in Notion.
3. Add slug, summary, category, tags, and date.
4. Preview locally or on a preview deployment.
5. Switch status to Public when ready.

Use PublicOnDetail for unlisted pages

PublicOnDetail is useful for pages that should be accessible by direct URL but hidden from feeds, such as campaign pages or private previews.

Safe edits

• Use Draft while writing.
• Use Private to hide existing content without deleting it.
• Keep old slugs when a post already has backlinks.
• Revalidate after publishing if you need an immediate production refresh.
